About the author

I am a Phd Candidate in History at the University of Michigan. My research interests include post-World War II US political and urban history. I am working on a dissertation analyzing how left urban populists addressed economic crisis in rustbelt cities during the 1970s and 1980s. I have also written extensively about politics,  organizing, and hip hop culture.
